I think I like them both, T___T even though they are equally sad! 
This one feels more like the end of the game scene
with all the fire and ashes of the ArchDemon.
The other one is more like a Return to Ostagar scene,
and is therefore even more sad because if Alistair falls at Ostagar, then we won't have that slight hopeful feeling that "at least the world is saved!"
